I always feel more motivated to motivate others when the sun shines

I’m on the brink of various arty things this week and whilst I can, I’ll have a tidy up of my current rolling list of  people I need to contact regarding answers to various questions that are almost….but not quite…ready to slip into place…

I like a good tidy up, it clears the space for other things to slip into view. And when they do, the other bits of clutter are already dealt with.

But this morning when I opened the bedroom curtains and the world was bathed in a crisp cold frost but the sky was a soooooo pretty glowing pale pink in the north fading up to the most delicate of pale blues, I smiled, as I knew it was going to be sunny! I always get more work done when its sunny. Even if it is cold, even if spring seems ages away, I noticed this week that the days are getting longer, so writing this at 4.30 on a January afternoon there is a pale cold pink in the sky and its a cold light, but still not fully dark.

I’m still trying to contact the Parish Council guy I had a meeting with last August who was all fired up and excited about the work he wanted me to for him and his fellow councillors, and left various photos with me for him to add some more so that I could do the work he wants me to do… when they’ve had a meeting at his Parish Council to give me the go ahead. I know Parish Councils work slowly, and I know that it all has to be discussed in great depth, but until he does get back to me, I just have half a pile of his photos and can’t so anything with them until they are a complete pile!

I am also waiting to have a chat this week with someone who I know definitely wants a painting done that we haven’t fully discussed other than the basic idea for it, but hopefully we can discuss that in more depth in the next week so I can get going on that one.

And I’ve also asked someone else how we’re progressing regarding two paintings we have talked of me doing for them in the near future, and even though they replied straight away to my email in a positive and friendly manner, and still definitely wants the artwork done, has explained that until they are able to take the photos that I require, then the painting will have to wait a little until I can complete it for them. I fully understand that, and the nature of the photos means that certain circumstances need to be in place before the photo can actually be taken! And the timing for that isn’t yet… but the painting will be done, that’s for sure. And I can’t wait to do it for them, its going to be a good one!!!

Whilst all this was taking place, another conversation started with someone else regarding another piece of art that hasn’t been previously discussed and I was delighted to find that the photo they wanted creating as a particular painting was perfect in pose, and design for me to do the painting they want – and I know it will make an excellent painting for them, when I can get started on it for them.

Plus, there are two other conversations that have been started, one this week, and another a few months ago, that will also make two diverse but fabulous paintings when I can get hold of the people in question to finalise the fine details of getting going on them.

So, all this on the brink… and none…quite…..tipped…..over the edge…………………..yet……………………….

I’ve had similar situations like this one in the past.. and it’s almost like the world is waiting to click into place for when the time is right for the good things to happen. It’s almost like they can’t happen until permission is granted… and when it is, they’ll turn up, like they should!  And usually, together!! 🙂
