A brush with time

I love painting, infact I am never happier than when I’m painting.

But you can have too much of a good thing, even when its something that you love doing. In the last 10 days I have had a paint brush in my hand for many long painting sessions, right into the night. Weilding colour, as it transforms the surface, seeing the changes it brings, and loving the effect. The fact that my much looked forward to plans for Easter had to be cancelled at the very last minute due to totally unforeseen circumstances relating to someone else all together, meant that I had more free time to paint, which should have been a good thing. But, funnily enough, it wasn’t.

Cos the painting I’ve been doing has transformed the kitchen, the utility room, the downstairs loo,  the spare bedroom, the bathroom, the hall, the stairs, and landing. And lovely as it all looks, its not “proper” painting!

But, now, with a pristine house, I can get back to what I really love to do, painting  in the proper style 🙂
